Думаю, Керри не идиот и понимает в теме не меньше остальных.

Проблема в том, что НИКТО в теме не понимает настолько, чтоб понять, как добиться желаемых результатов.

Биби к примеру знает, как получить то, что хочет от него народ Израиля? не похоже.

Вы уверены, что после его действий подобная заварушка не повторится через год-другой?

Kerri is not an idiot. He (or at least his advisers) understands the situation well enough. However, his priorities are incompatible with ours. He does not care about the number of people being killed. He does not care about any kind of permanent settlement. All he cares about is a pliable Israel, American image abroad, votes for democrats in the US - from Arabs more than from the Jews, and a Nobel for himself if he can swing it.

I think his behavior conforms to this.
